About

Hi! I grew up in sunny Southern California, lived in NYC for eight years, and moved back west to San Francisco in 2017. I grew up dancing, so being active was always a part of my life. I danced at the University of Southern California, but once I graduated and wasn't part of a dance community anymore, I ended up finding yoga!  I took my first yoga class with Ally Hamilton at Bryan Kest Power Yoga in Santa Monica and was immediately hooked. Ally's wise and therapeutic words have stuck with me over the years. As we held Warrior 2 for way longer than you thought you could hold the pose for, shaking, dripping sweat, and wanting to jump out of your skin, Ally would say that if we can practice staying calm during this time of discomfort then we can take this skill into the real world. When we feel jealousy, anger, sadness-- we can stay calm as those temporary emotions eventually pass. I remember thinking, If I could impact one person's life the way Ally impacted mine, then I'd feel like I did good work.

Yoga has been a source of therapy, stability, inspiration, and community in my life and now  as a teacher I'm able to create and hold a space for others to experience the joys of yoga.  I received my 200-hour teacher training certificate from Laughing Lotus Yoga Center in May 2016 and am learning every day. I currently teach a weekly yoga class at Blend in San Francisco.
