I have written so many things that I just haven’t posted and now if I posted those essays they would all be crossed out. So rather than posting a bunch of crossed out words I’ll talk about right here right now. Long story short… moving back to CA after living in NYC for 8 years is hard. (note the present tense even after 4 months). And these 4 months have been such a roller coaster of highs and lows, laughs and tears, adventures and solitude.

It’s sort of in my personality to dwell and obsess and maybe it’s the Virgo in me… but I’m a perfectionist. And sometimes I have to actively stop myself from dwelling too much (thank you first therapist!) and spiraling and texting every friend to entertain my stress.

Read MoreAs I mentioned previously I challenged myself to meditate and write every morning in January. I also promised some updates! I’m happy to say that I have in fact meditated and journaled every day so far and it’s now become second nature— it takes 21 days to change or build a habit right?!
Read More“I wonder who our future people will be” is what I asked my good friend over Christmas. Assuming she’d indulge me and agree and respond with “omg I know I really wonder! ug dating” I was actually shocked when she answered with something completely opposite and rather inspiring. So inspiring I used it as my dharma talk in class the other week. She went on to say that she is not wondering. We know we’ll meet someone if we want to, she isn’t concerned about that. She said we need to choose our present moment.
Read MoreWe were approaching the end of our yoga teacher training and ayurveda was one of the last (and most epic) weekends. As we slowly wandered into the room, our teacher for the weekend walked in, turned off the fan, set up, sat down, and sat in silence creating our sacred space for the weekend. We all immediately stopped talking, sat in a half circle, leaned in, waited, eager to listen. "Do you have a soul?" our teacher asked. I remember nodding and being like yeahh i have a soul. As I looked around everyone for the most part was also nodding and saying ya. "No. You are a soul in a humans body". WORLD ROCKED.
